How to make a Keto Lemon Drop Martini
Before we dive into crafting the martini, we need to prepare the glass. While you can chill your martini glass in the freezer, an easier and safer method is to fill the glass with ice water. This will ensure the glass is perfectly chilled without the risk of breaking it in the freezer.
Now that your glass is prepped, it’s time to create the cocktail. In a mixing container, pour in 2 ounces of vodka, the water and 1 ounce of fresh lemon juice. Next, add 1 ounce of keto simple syrup for that delicious lemony sweetness without the carbs.
It’s time to shake things up! Add your ice to the mixing container and shake vigorously. Shaking the cocktail for about 15-20 seconds should suffice, but feel free to shake until you see condensation forming on the outside of your container.
Once you’re done shaking, strain the cocktail into your perfectly chilled martini glass, leaving the ice behind. Don’t forget to garnish with a lemon twist or a sugar-free lemon rim for that extra touch of citrusy elegance.
And there you have it, a refreshing and delightful Keto Lemon Drop Martini, low in carbs but bursting with zesty flavor! Citrusy drinks are some of my favorite and I know this is one to wow all your keto friends!
Why use keto simple syrup?
Keto simple syrup is an essential ingredient for creating low-carb versions of your favorite cocktails. It’s made by combining a sugar substitute like erythritol or stevia with water, creating a syrup that mimics the sweetness of traditional simple syrup without the carbs.
Using keto simple syrup in your Keto Lemon Drop Martini ensures that you can enjoy the perfect balance of tart and sweet flavors without the worry of adding extra carbs to your diet. So go ahead, indulge in this delicious cocktail without any guilt!
Do you need to use fresh lemon juice?
While it may be tempting to reach for a bottle of store-bought lemon juice, using fresh lemon juice in your Keto Lemon Drop Martini is highly recommended. Not only does fresh lemon juice provide a more vibrant and authentic citrus flavor, but it also contains fewer additives and preservatives compared to its store-bought counterpart. So, for the best-tasting and healthiest Keto Lemon Drop Martini, always opt for fresh lemon juice.
Can you use regular water?
Absolutely! I like to infuse my water with lemons to ensure my martini is brimming with flavour but it certainly isn’t a requirement. I’ve also seen recipes that use soda water so you definately
